Some assembly required.

Hi 👋, I'm Angelo, nice to meet you. I'm Head of Product at Divio. As a kid my grandparents let me take apart their VCRs. I never really stopped.

77 articles since 2020. Mostly about building for the web, and lately quite a lot about AI tooling. They’re numbered in the order I wrote them, newest on top.

Projects

These are open-source projects I build or help look after, from a CMS I’ve worked on since 2014 to a helpdesk that lives inside your Next.js app.

Who took it apart

I grew up with my grandparents in a small valley in the south of Switzerland, below the Matterhorn. After a mediamatician apprenticeship I moved to Vancouver, learned English properly and did my first two internships there.

I’ve been at Divio, a Swiss platform for running web apps in the cloud, since 2010. I started there as a developer, I’m Head of Product now, and I still write code.

I led the product strategy and the roadmap for Divio's Linux/Docker-based PaaS, from vision and discovery to delivery. Together with the leadership team we set a new "Agency First" direction, and OKRs now give sales, marketing and engineering one shared list of priorities instead of a weekly "who does what" debate.

I taught frontend from 2010, to peers and colleagues at first, and from 2015 to 2025 at HSR (OST) in Rapperswil. In 2025 I co-founded devguard.
